bEST league fits

The NBA and fashion have gone in hand for a long time now, and whilst all does not directly stem from the Cover Star of this article, this current generation of NBA talent have a huge thanks to give to Allen Iverson. From headlines surrounding “practice, practice and more practice” to getting an entire dress code implemented for the league, controversy clearly clouded the young star’s career. However, through it all, his unwillingless to remain true to himself and his raw style always shun through. And now, decades later, what was once condemned is now celebrated. So although “The answer” never figured out how to get a ring throughout his career, he should forever be championed as the NBA Fashion Champion.

Now whilst, I’d love to grace you with more on my styling hero (he is genuinely in my top 3 best dressed males of all time), we’re here to celebrate those who have taken his torch and successfully ran with. I emphasise successfully because let’s be honest, we see a lot of B.S in the tunnel these days, guys be really wearing anything and everything in the name of a fit pic, and morebut we’re here here to highlight the good (we be hating on my TikTok don’t worry). I purposely gave these guys a few games to get the BS out the way so we can really judge “who be putting that $h*t on.”

Now that’s enough yapping for today, time to get into these fits. I present my best dressed NBA Tunnel outfits.

NO.5 - Devin Booker

I’ll be honest, I think I cheated with this pick here. It’s supposed to be the best fits I’ve seen so far, and honestly, this isn’t a WOW. But let’s pause for a sec and think, have we ever seen a bad fit from D Book. For like 2 years straight he’s come out in straight 8/10s. His strength is that he undestands his own style, his proportions, its simple, minimalstic, but when done correctly, its just looks clean.

It’s easy to have a great night, a great performance, but to maintain this level of consistency of such a span of time, it’d be criminal to leave him off this list.

Seperately, someone find the ID on that jacket because that is too peak.

NO.4 - Jason Tatum

This is arguably the closest thing to my personal style on this list (pretty sure I’ve replicated this fit just with a different team jersey"). Might be a lil too matchy matchy for some, and I hear it, but sometimes simplicity is all it takes. Staying true to his origin, the St Louis NHL jersey perfectly complients the Jordan 1s he has on feet.

Again, not the most extravagant type of outfits, but I’m really just a chill guy (getting that joke off still in November is crazy I know), and this outfit is something which I believe is universal to all. Like there’s no aesthestic required for this one, if you can’t pull off a jersey with Jeans/Cargos, you might just be doomed big bro

NO.3 - Jaylen Williams

There was a lot of chatter last year across the league that this OKC team wouldn’t get the job done. Reason being; they’re too young and immature… Well, we clearly saw how that played out, but it looks like J Dub’s still got something to say to all the naysayers.

This is really grown man business, so much so David Stern would probably be proud - (comissioner who actioned NBA Dress Code - “do your homework” - FYB Mayne voice*). Typically, Dub is very streetwear heavy, and more often than not is plastered in Chrome Hearts, so this switch up in style is real refreshing to see, especially it being pulled off so cleanly.

NO.2 - Tyrese Haliburton

“What the Heliante.. What the hell he on… What the Helly Berry… WHAT THE HALIBURTON!” Tyrese really been killing league this year. Unfortunately, whilst it isn’t on the court (that game 7 ACL tear still plays in my mind, cos he was frying them in those first 3 mins), he’s still reminding us he’s a killer. This fit resembles his game in so many ways, it’s coordinated yet unorthodox, it’s not overly flashy, but is still able to dazzle when the lights are at it’s brightest.

This is genuinely some of his greatest work in this league (outside of last year’s playoffs, he don’t injured and Indy have a chip).

No.1 - Luguentz Dort

Lu Dort, who has you feeling like this??? Like I ain’t never ever seen you act like this. That Larry O’Brien really got you moving different. It might be true what they say, “look good, play good”, because you look like money right now and your team is 1st in the west. You’re the reiging champ both on and off the court. I guess the real question is, how long can you retain your titles?
